Instructor: Gary Paller

Join expert artist, Gary Paller, for this special one-night only opportunity to learn to paint in the style of Vincent van Gogh. This workshop focuses on the artist’s expressive techniques and brushstrokes, using thick, swirling lines to create movement and texture. Using a vibrant palette of bright colors, students create expressive, energetic paintings that focus on emotion and mood rather than a detailed rendering of the subject. Students also explore their own relationship between color, texture, paint application, and expression, and arrive with their personal interpretation of van Gogh’s world.

Location: This is an in-person class taking place at the new BAC campus located in Santa Monica at

1625 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica, CA. LINK TO MAP

Transportation and Parking: Centrally located for easy access from all over Los Angeles County, BAC is only a 5-minute walk from the E Line (Expo) Metro Rail station exit off of 17th/SMC. The Center has a small parking lot located right in front of the buildings entrance. If parking is unavailable in the lot there is 2, 3 and 9-hour metered street parking in the area.
