Fine Art Certificate Program

About The Program

Brentwood Art Center’s Fine Arts Certificate Program is geared for those who would like to develop a professional practice as an artist including exhibiting or selling their work. The program covers essential vocabulary, conceptual development, and skill building while being mentored by exceptional teaching artists. This non-credit, non-graded, attendance-based program leads to the development of a portfolio of personal work. Students must enroll in the Certificate Program by their 4th course. (Students may transfer up to four previously taken courses from another institution or from BAC to the Certificate Program.) Students must meet with an advisor twice during their course of study. The Certificate Program culminates in a Final Exhibition Capstone at Brentwood Art Center.

Students must be 18+ years of age to enroll in the Certificate Program. No prior experience or portfolio is required. Those interested in the Certificate Program can take up to four courses before enrolling in the Program. Students are required to submit a Certificate Program Enrollment Application, along with a non-refundable $275 application fee, before beginning their fifth course.
