Edward Buttwinick Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Edward Buttwinick Memorial scholarship awards are presented to talented youth who exemplify the artistic vision shared by Brentwood Art Center and the Buttwinick Family. The scholarship fund is a legacy to Ed’s vision, which recognizes and supports underserved youth who would not otherwise be able to attend BAC classes.

Leadership Council

The Brentwood Art Center Leadership Council is both a social group and a donor affiliate council. It is made up of donors who contribute $1,000+ a year to support our scholarship, education, community and veterans art programs. Members enjoy unique opportunities to attend exclusive art events, artist studio visits, and private collection tours.

Veterans Art Program

At Brentwood Art Center, we believe in the transformative power of art. As part of our commitment to serving our community, BAC provides art instruction free of charge at the Westwood and Long Beach Veterans Administrations. In past years, our Veterans exhibited their work in a culminating exhibition at the Geffen Playhouse and at our annual Student and Faculty exhibition.

Scholarship Program

Each semester the Friends of the Brentwood Art Center awards need-based scholarships and provides financial support to low-income adults and children by reducing or eliminating class fees. 

Would you like to support this program?

  • 1 semester of adult classes $650-$750

  • 1 semester of kids’ classes $500-$600

  • 1 month of adult classes $250-$300

  • 1 month of kids classes $200-$250

Send a Child to Camp

Each year the Friends of the Brentwood Art Center awards need-based scholarships to enable children ages 5-17 to attend summer art camp.

  • 2 days of camp (7-12yrs) $220

  • 3 days of camp (5-6yrs) $225

  • 3 days of camp (7-12yrs) $330

  • 1 week of camp (5-6yrs or teens) $375
