4 Wednesdays
9:30AM - 12:30PM
$320 for 4 weeks
Instructor: Jennifer Caloyeras
In this class, students explore four techniques on a deeper level. In the first class, we will use organic materials on the plate, practicing layering and stamping techniques. The second class meeting is dedicated to the art of image transfers on the gel plate: how to use your own images, strategies to achieve a good transfer, as well as techniques to colorize your images.
During our collage week, students use prints generated to explore various collage techniques and study composition, as well as mount a collage on a finished form. Lastly, students spend the final week constructing their own original book structure and filling the pages with their various prints using different types of paper. Embellishing prints with mixed media elements will also be addressed.
