Think, build, and solve problems like a designer.

In this hands-on class, students take inspiration from notable architecture and building designs. We look into what makes the work iconic and how they achieved those results.

Then students sketch, design, and build their own structures over the course of 4-5 weeks. We use materials like cardboard, paper, wire, foam board, and recyclables.

Each session explores a unique theme and type of structure.

Location: This is an in-person class taking place at the new BAC campus located in Santa Monica at

1625 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica, CA. LINK TO MAP

Transportation and Parking: Centrally located for easy access from all over Los Angeles County, BAC is only a 5-minute walk from the E Line (Expo) Metro Rail station exit off of 17th/SMC. The Center has a small parking lot located right in front of the buildings entrance. If parking is unavailable in the lot there is 2, 3 and 9-hour metered street parking in the area.
