In this introductory course, students design their own original jewelry creations using metal clay. Students explore techniques of forming, firing with a torch or in a kiln, and learning how to finish their creations. Using our hands, rubber stamps, molds, shaping tools, and cutters, students make beautiful designs that will fire into bronze and copper metal. Class projects include earrings, pendants, and small charms. Vitreous enameling will be introduced. Beginners welcome: no metalworking experience is needed.
