Explore the fundamental concepts of drawing, including line, value, shape, form, volume, spatial relationships, and perspective while working with a variety of drawing materials. Through observation-based exercises and guided instruction, students will develop the ability to see the world more accurately and translate that understanding into compelling two-dimensional drawings.
This course emphasizes the core skills that form the foundation of all drawing: learning to observe, simplify complex subjects into basic shapes, understand proportion and space, and build confidence through practice. Students are encouraged to explore their individual interests while receiving personalized feedback, demonstrations, and techniques that strengthen both technical skills and creative expression.
Whether your goal is fine art, illustration, design, or simply learning to draw with greater confidence, this course provides a supportive and engaging environment for growth. All beginners are welcome—no previous drawing experience is necessary.
