Ready to move past the pinch pot and coil cylinder? Ready to refine your unique artistic voice and visual language? This intermediate course is designed for students who have a solid grasp of handbuilding techniques and are eager to push the boundaries of clay. We will transition from learning how to build to exploring what you can build, focusing on larger scales, complex geometries, and refined surfaces.

Make the shift from step-by-step instruction to executing your own creative concepts. Whether you want to develop a cohesive line of contemporary tableware or dive into abstract narrative sculpture, this studio space serves as an incubator for your personal portfolio.

Location: This is an in-person class taking place at the new BAC campus located in Santa Monica at

1625 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica, CA. LINK TO MAP.

Transportation and Parking: Centrally located for easy access from all over Los Angeles County, BAC is only a 5-minute walk from the E Line (Expo) Metro Rail station exit off of 17th/SMC. The Center has a small parking lot located right in front of the buildings entrance. If parking is unavailable in the lot there is 2, 3 and 9-hour metered street parking in the area.
