In this two hour workshop, Jill Douglas will demonstrate various painting techniques whilst explaining the different brush shapes and what they are designed to do. Even those old beaten up brushes have a purpose! Jill will also discuss how to choose between natural or synthetic bristles and how to clean them, ensuring their long life.

Students are welcome to just watch or paint alongside.

All levels of experience are welcome.

Paint: Acrylic, Oil, or Gouache

Colors: Titanium White and one other colour which could be a blue, red, green or black

Any brushes you have on hand

Pencil & Eraser

Paper plate or disposable palette

Water (or solvent if using oils)

Paper towels
