Laura German Reynolds

Laura German Reynolds is a mixed media artist who primarily works in collage.

She is drawn to the physical, meditative, and intuitive act of collage—listening to the inner pull as she sources materials. What colors, textures, and images are catching her eye? There is a rhythm to the process: sorting, cutting, arranging—slowly solving the puzzle and revealing the image that wants to come through. In this space, it becomes possible to quiet the intellect and tap into deeper, more intuitive layers of the mind as one engages with the creative process.

Her work explores the feminine experience, myth, dreams and depth psychology. She uses her art practice as a doorway to the unconscious longing to be known and expressed.

Over her 20 years of teaching, she returns again and again to the same question: how do we learn to trust what is already inside of us?

She cares less about “getting it right” and more about helping people recognize their own visual language—the images, instincts, and stories that are asking for attention.

She facilitates a generous classroom space: a place where experimentation is welcome, where dialogue matters, where each person is invited to take themselves seriously as a creative, make friends and have fun!
