Karl Jean-Guerly Pétion uses symbols as well as imageries often suggesting the extremes of wealth and poverty. His paintings confront emotionally charged first- and third-world class issues via theoretical texts and compelling images depictions of power plays directly invoking the contemporary art scene itself in his assemblage and mixed-media sculpture and painting.
