Deborah Gero

BOARD MEMBER

Deborah A. Gero is Senior Managing Director, Investment Management for AIG Asset Management, as well as Deputy Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for AIG Commercial and Consumer. Ms. Gero is responsible for developing investment strategy and providing guidance and leadership to the asset allocation process. Debi first joined SunAmerica in 1996 as Corporate Actuary and became a Portfolio Manager for SunAmerica Investments in 2000. She later served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager for AIG Global Investment Corporation where she oversaw the management of a $3.4B portfolio of CDOs. After leaving AIG in 2003, Debi rejoined the company in 2009 as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for SunAmerica Financial Group, responsible for enterprise risk management for that organization and for the coordination of risk management activities.

Previously, she held various positions in the insurance industry and consulting with responsibilities from financial projections for asset/liability management, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning.

Ms. Gero received her B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame and became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1997. In 1986, she became a fellow in the Society of Actuaries.

Debi has served on the board of the Notre Dame Club in Orange County, CA and as secretary of Notre Dame Club Indianapolis, IN, volunteered in the Los Angeles Public Library Literacy Program, and served on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica, CA.
