Instructor: Gary Paller
Join expert artist Gary Paller for this special one-night only opportunity to learn to paint a watercolor in the style of Paul Klee, one of the founding fathers of abstraction.
This workshop focuses on the artist’s unique expressionistic style, combining spontaneity and symbolism. Using a color palette of luminous tones and utilizing Klee’s sense of whimsy and childlike simplicity, students create their own rhythmic geometric compositions. Students also explore layering watercolors by organizing landscapes and architecture into geometric blocks, grids, and color fields, and arrive with their own personal interpretation of Klee’s world.
Materials and supplies are provided.
