Wednesday Workshop: Paint Your Own Guernica (Not the Way Picasso Did) (In-person)

Wednesday, August 19, 2026
6:30PM - 9:30PM
$80.00

Instructor: Gary Paller

Recreate the renowned Guernica in a way that looks like it was painted by someone other than Picasso. We'll try to make it clearly an allegorical and symbolic painting based on the work by Picasso, but with a twist - maybe it could be a version in the style of Frida Kahlo or Keith Haring or Jackson Pollock or Basquiat? Come paint your modern take on this iconic painting, and Gary Paller will offer some tips to help you along.

Materials and supplies are provided.

Location: This is an in-person class taking place at the new BAC campus located in Santa Monica at
