Join internationally acclaimed artist Shelley Levy for a special opportunity to sketch together in person while she is visiting Los Angeles.
The day begins at Brentwood Art Center with introductions and an overview of the itinerary before heading to Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica for a morning of sketching on location. Students will drive themselves to the sketching site, where Shelley will guide you through the process of observing and capturing the world around you. The workshop focuses on gesture, line quality, composition, and emotion, helping students develop a more expressive and personal approach to urban sketching.
