Arial is an experienced teaching artist who has led courses and workshops for Maryland College of Art and Design (MICA), the City of Santa Monica, the Archer School for Girls, and Shandaken Projects, NY. She was the Arts Program Specialist at SCA, NYC, New York where she co-created artist/student workshops within K-12 public school classrooms.
Ariel has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions in the United States and Europe. She has been awarded the New York Foundation for the Arts Painting Fellowship and is included in the Alex Katz Foundation Collection.
Ariel was a visiting professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art and a consultant for the Public Art In Public Schools program. In 2018, after living in New York for almost 20 years, Ariel returned to live in Los Angeles. She lives and works in Mar Vista with her husband and daughter.
