Instructor: Jill Douglas
In this two hour workshop, Jill demonstrates various painting techniques whilst explaining the different brush shapes and what they are designed to do. Even those old beaten up brushes have a purpose!
Jill also discusses how to choose between natural or synthetic bristles and how to clean them, ensuring their long life.
Students are welcome to just watch or paint alongside.
All levels of expertise are welcome.
Supply List
Paint - Acrylic, Oil or Gouache.
Colors - Titanium White and one other colour which could be a blue, red, green or black.
Any brushes you have on hand.
Pencil & Eraser
Paper Plate or Disposable palette
Water (or solvent if using oils).
Paper Towels

Location: This is an in-person class taking place at the new BAC campus located in Santa Monica at
1625 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica, CA. LINK TO MAP
Transportation and Parking: Centrally located for easy access from all over Los Angeles County, BAC is only a 5-minute walk from the E Line (Expo) Metro Rail station exit off of 17th/SMC. The Center has a small parking lot located right in front of the buildings entrance. If parking is unavailable in the lot there is 2, 3 and 9-hour metered street parking in the area.
