Join us for a 6-week artventure to explore new ways of expression and discover joy in the creative process. This course invites students to experiment with form, color, texture, space, value, and composition while cultivating a playful, intuitive approach to art-making.

Each session includes:

Warm-ups & Playful Prompts: Drawing with your non-dominant hand and creating with eyes closed to loosen your gesture and activate spontaneous mark-making.

Technique Focus: Exploring texture with collage, conveying emotion through expressive line work, and experimenting with composition.

Working Time: Developing your piece using a variety of mixed media emphasizing process over perfection.

Group Share: Reflecting on techniques, and celebrating your artistic evolutions in a supportive environment.

Cultivating Creativity: Encouraging experimentation and building confidence in your creative voice.

Location: This is an in-person class taking place at the new BAC campus located in Santa Monica at

1625 Olympic Blvd., Santa Monica, CA. LINK TO MAP.

Transportation and Parking: Centrally located for easy access from all over Los Angeles County, BAC is only a 5-minute walk from the E Line (Expo) Metro Rail station exit off of 17th/SMC. The Center has a small parking lot located right in front of the buildings entrance. If parking is unavailable in the lot there is 2, 3 and 9-hour metered street parking in the area.
