Instructor: Scott Zaragoza
In this course, students of all levels learn drawing techniques to render the anatomy of the human body using a live model. Students work towards the goal of drawing the human form accurately, and develop their ability to capture their model's unique features and personality. Students will examine the works of Renaissance and Baroque masters to build their understanding of the human form. Visual artist Scott Zaragoza teaches students how to render anatomy step-by-step, including proportions of the figure, the behavior of tendons, ligaments, and main muscle groups, as well as the skeletal framework of the human form. Techniques with graphite, charcoal, conté, colored pencil, and pastel are demonstrated and developed.
Note: A live model will be used for class
