Instructor: Ave Pildas

Join professional art photographer Ave Pildas for this in-person course at BAC’s new campus in Santa Monica. Street photography depends on taking unique candid images of chance encounters in public spaces. Using Santa Monica and L.A. as a laboratory, your expert instructor guides students as they capture the unique spirit of the Socal community.

Students learn how to take the best possible photos using a digital camera, phone, or other device. Course covers finding interesting subjects, composition, light, contrast, foreground/background, and focus in b/w and color.

Course meets onsite at BAC’s Santa Monica campus, then ventures out into the local environment. Field-trip waiver required.
