Molly Wurwand teacher at Brentwood Art Center

Molly Wurwand

BFA Experimental Performance Art

Molly Wurwand (They/Them) was born and raised in Los Angeles, and attended the Brentwood Art Center as a kid.

Wurwand graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Experimental Performance Art, and they went on to teach art in the New York public school system at PS 208 and PS 197. They work across digital performance art, watercolor, and illustration, with most work centering on the performance of gender and their own transnonbinary identity.

Wurwand is also the co-editor of the upcoming Lick magazine. Since 2018, they’ve been thrilled to be a teaching artist back at the place where it all began: The Brentwood Art Center.
